In April of 2020, the Trideum Foundation, started looking for ways that we could make an impact in our communities in response to the COVID -19 Crisis. We initiated a project called “Feeding 5,000” based on the well known story of Jesus feeding 5,000 people with just five loaves of bread and two fish. We didn’t expect to work a miracle, but we drew inspiration that we could help meet the massive needs in a way that outsizes our resources. Through this effort we distributed over $25,000 worth of grants to five organizations in April. But the story didn’t end there. We also decided to provide additional grants to these same organizations based on the amount of donations that we received from Trideum Employees during the months of April, May, and June. That total came in at just over $5,000 of additional funding. On top of that, a late request came in from a similar organization in Orlando with a similar request. This organization, called “A Servant’s Heart” ministries, was also provided a $5,000 grant from our foundation. In total for 2020, inspired by this initiative, Trideum employees and the Trideum Foundation contributed over $35,000 to six different organizations representing six different geographic regions where Trideum is located. This event was so successful that it is being repeated in 2021. A new set of organizations will be nominated by employees and we will again rally support to help feed our communities through some awesome organizations.
