Retired U.S. Army Col. Eric Tollefson is a creative data and analytics leader with 22 years of experience leading, managing, and conducting data and analytic efforts in cybersecurity, network operations, and business operations. Dr. Tollefson (Eric) holds a Ph.D. in industrial engineering as well as master’s degrees in statistics and operations research from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a bachelor’s degree in engineering physics from the U.S. Military Academy.
Eric recently joined Trideum as a Senior Solutions Architect for Data and Analytics, primarily supporting the company’s Systems and Technology Sector. The role was designed to develop advanced technologies and solutions that support customer requirements for data management, data engineering, data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and data visualization.
This is an important new position, not just for the Systems and Technology Sector, but for Trideum as a whole. Eric will lead the integration of data and analytics processes, systems, tools, and techniques on existing and new contracts across all capabilities involving system development, architecture development and analysis, test and evaluation, and training.
Data and Analytics as a Supporting Technology
Jim Meehan, Director of Trideum’s Systems and Technology Sector, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring a professional of such high quality and depth of experience to the company and to the work we do for our customers. Our goal is to be the best in the world at the services and solutions we provide. To do that, we need the best people.”
While Trideum corporation has been providing data science and analytics as a supporting technology for years, the company is now making it a key focus area and an enabling capability in support of its core competencies. Additionally, Trideum has several solutions architects across the company working on supporting technologies including test & evaluation, distributed LVC, software development, user experience, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and others.
Eric will be designing and executing strategic technology roadmaps for developing new (or leveraging existing) capabilities for corporate and government customers. One of the first areas of focus will be in support of the Advancing Operational Test Infrastructure (AOTI) contract with the U.S. Army Operational Test Command at Fort Hood.
I’m honored to have this exciting opportunity to help shape Trideum’s data and analytics efforts as we continue to grow and tackle the world’s toughest challenges.
