Killeen, Texas – Two prominent Central Texas businesses have been in partnership with A&M-Central Texas for the past two years, originally opening offices on campus, offering internships, opportunities for full-time employment, and conducting research. Recently, the two companies have renewed their partnership with the university, laying the groundwork for future collaboration and partnership opportunities.
Trideum Corporation was founded as a test and evaluation company in 2005, gaining a broad range of expertise in the design, development, integration, and sustainment of technical and software solutions, specializing in the areas of cybersecurity, design and engineering, modeling and simulation, test and evaluation, training and development, unmanned systems, and user experience.
Centex Technologies, an IT consulting company, was founded in 2006, and provides a wide range of information technology services to business, industry, and military in Central Texas and Georgia.
Ron McNamara, Texas Operations Manager for Trideum Corporation, said he was thrilled to renew the agreement with the University, pointing to the significant accomplishments that their presence on campus has successfully nurtured.
“Trideum’s close relationship with A&M-Central Texas is the perfect win-win-win,” he said adding that when industry, academic, and government institutions collaborate, the benefits are incredible.
“We have access to cutting edge research conducted by and with the computer information science and cybersecurity faculty in the College of Business Administration, projects in development with Operational Test Command, and equally close relationships with other military organizations. We always felt that this relationship would be productive, and everything both our company and the university have accomplished in just a couple of short years proves that to be absolutely true.”
Both Centex Technologies and Trideum have strong track records of hiring university graduates from the Subhani Department of Computer Information Systems, a point reinforced by McNamara who said that prioritizing a talent pipeline that identifies and offers internships to already trained students, who then become graduates and technology employees, is great for the region.
“We learn as much from our interns as they do from us,” he said. “They come to us extremely well-trained by the university and we look forward to the next three years of our partnership.”
